What’s Really Happening When We Pray?

I wonder whether you have considered how the idea of free will relates to the practice of prayer? When we pray, is it the case, in a sense, that God is causing us to pray to Him?

This matter is discussed as one of a series of twelve contemplations that I offer in my latest book Reflections: Enlightening Insights Into the Divine Mystery which is available exclusively through StevenColborne.com on a ‘pay as you wish’ basis.

Each of the reflections in the book tackles a religious issue from a pantheistic / panentheistic perspective — the idea that the being of God encompasses the totality of existence, an idea which in my view leaves no room for free will.

It’s a cracking read, and you can enjoy reading the whole thing in under an hour! And there is also an exclusive second book, Reflections+ included with every purchase!

The book is currently only available as an eBook but you can purchase a copy and begin reading it immediately on a computer, tablet, eReader, or smartphone.
