How are you, everyone?

I was on leave from hospital earlier, enjoying some leisurely cigarettes, and the creative ideas were coming thick and fast!

A few years ago, I started a Substack publication called Reflections and purchased the domain name ReflectionsBySteven.com to accompany it. I published around 100 articles, if I recall correctly. It was actually a word from God that led me to start the publication and I was writing a combination of theological and personal articles.

In a fit of anger one day, I deleted the publication, and that later led to some feelings of regret. I also felt confused about why I had taken it down, because God had told me it was going to be ‘massive’!

Last year, I took the best articles from the Substack publication and used them as the basis for a new book, which came to be titled Reflections: Enlightening Insights Into the Divine Mystery. My feeling is that the book represents my best work to date.

I have been trying extremely hard to promote the book but as yet this has only led to a couple of sales. So I am continually thinking and praying about how I might reach more readers.

Today, I rebranded Perfect Chaos so that it is now Reflections By Steven! This is a big milestone in the history of the blog, which I began in 2012. The new domain name for the blog is reflectionsbysteven.com (although perfectchaos.org still works fine and points to the same blog).

Life is ever unpredictable and I have had some tentative discussions with Bloomsbury Publishing about working with them on my books but I’m not yet sure whether they are serious about working with me. In the meantime, I am going to keep promoting Reflections (the book) and ReflectionsBySteven (this blog), and focus on trying to attract the right kinds of visitors to my shop at StevenColborne.com.

After a few months spent in this hospital it looks likely that I will be returning home soon.
