Reflections

Steven Colborne's Philosophical Theology Blog

A Year Older

Hello friends,

Birthdays offer an opportunity for reflection. When I look back at the last year, I have mixed emotions. In a sense, it’s a miracle that I’m still here. In another sense, I feel very sad.

Yesterday, I was having a cup of tea and felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the blessings of my life circumstances. But there are other times when I reflect and feel like my life is a mess and full of failure.

I’m choosing to see this birthday as the start of a new chapter. The infinite possibilities of the future are ahead. I know I have to move forward prayerfully and have to trust that God will work everything out.

I’m a big fan of brainstorming, so I’m going to do a big life brainstorm this afternoon and see what plans I can make. I will probably read Ecclesiastes today as well, I’m in a melancholy mood so it will be quite fitting.

Thank you for following my blog.

God bless

Steven

    1. Thanks Rebekah! In addition to my reflecting and brainstorming I had some quality time with the Lord. He is most merciful! God bless you.
