An Interpretation of the Opening of the Gospel According to John That Brought Me to Tears

The exact translation of ‘logos’ has confused many textual critics, and I am not a textual critic. I heard a song recently that translated ‘logos’ in John Chapter 1 as ‘love’. If God is love, perhaps we can do even better:

In the beginning was God, and God was with God, and God was God. He was in the beginning with God.

All glory to the majestic name of the LORD forever and ever!

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind, and thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
