Daily dealings
With the insanocracy
Leave me intensely hurt
And almost insane myself.
Almost.
I tried crying out to God,
Why must I go through this
Again and again?
What purpose does it really serve?
And then I paused
And thanked God
That even in this place
Of mental distress
There are blessings to be counted.
My options?
Lie in bed in utter despair
Just about breathing;
Call Samaritans;
A glass of wine;
Some shots of whisky;
Some Rage Against The Machine;
Thank God for music
That rages against the insanocracy.
I think that will be my album title:
The Insanocracy.
