A mid-afternoon dream
Filled with love
Made me sane
For a moment
And I awoke
To the warm fuzz
Of a joyful spirit.
Now reality has hit.
There IS love around
I DO believe in people
But there’s pain in the way.
A soul mate!
How I long
To play games
With a lover
Whose heart is open
To childish ways.
Not one to push the boundaries
Of common sense
(to my shame)
I will stay in tonight and feel the tight grip
Of my lonely heart.
There is a comfort.
Such a monumental comfort –
There is one who has my heart,
And this One is beyond perfect.
And He knows me fairly well.
