Hello everyone,
In my Bible reading this morning I read the words of Jesus saying all judgment has been committed to Him by the Father. I find it a curious thing – a cause for fascination and enquiry – that this isn’t mentioned in the Qur’an. An important aspect of my spiritual work is my attempt to understand both the Qur’an and the Bible.
I am currently in a hotel! I am so blessed to have this experience of a peaceful ‘retreat’ of sorts, though I am not far from home. I haven’t been able to afford a holiday for years, so I sometimes look at the prices of a local budget hotel that I love, and if there is a really good deal, I book a room for a night.
Not only did I get a great price for a room, but I am also staying in my favourite room, a large room at the end of the corridor in which have stayed quite a few times previously.
I sometimes get overwhelmed with depression related to the technocracy in which we now live and the way in which technology has made some things excruciating. The lack of empathic human support from companies these days causes me a great deal of misery. However, I listened to the Qur’an and gained some illumination related to a passage in Surah Al-A’raf which gladdened my heart enormously.
Please ensure that you are grounded in the Scriptures today and that you are living wholeheartedly for God. Seek His will for your life through prayer, and strive to do good, loving God and loving your neighbour to the best of your ability.
