Steven Colborne's Philosophical Theology Blog

Everything is Sacred

Just a quick thought for the day.

Part of our human nature is tiredness. Personally, I don’t get bored much, but I hear other people complaining of boredom all the time.

If you are a spiritual person you will know that everything is sacred. Every word we write is sacred. Every sip of each drink is sacred. Every utterance of every clean mouth is sacred.

So if you ever feel a sense of monotony creeping into your daily routine, why not pause for a moment, be still, and appreciate the beauty in simple things. Like the touch of your fingers on materials. Like the magic of electricity. Like the taste of a hot drink.

I may be celibate but I know that if someone gave me just a peck on the cheek today I would really appreciate it.

Amen.
